Lets know more about the eligibility criteria for Federals Skilled Worker Program (FSWP). FSWP- Eligibility Criteria to apply as a Federal Skilled Worker Minimum Eligibility Requirements
  • Language ability:You must take an approved English or French language test and score a minimum of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in all four abilities, i.e., writing, reading, listening and speaking.
  • Skilled work experience:You must have at least 1 year of skilled, continuous work experience (full-time or equal amount of part-time) obtained in an occupation under National Occupational Classification (NOC) Skill Level O (Managerial jobs), A (Professional jobs), or B (Technical jobs and skilled trades). It has to be a paid work and gained within the last 10 years.
  • Education:You must have a diploma, degree or certificate, from a secondary or post-secondary institution. Additionally, for any completed foreign education, you must submit an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report done from a designated organization to prove that your foreign education is equal to Canadian standards.
FSW Six Selection Factors Once you meet allthe minimum eligibility requirements mentioned above, the IRCC assess your application using six selection factors that are a part of FSW 100-point grid. To qualify, you must score at least 67 points out of 100 based on the following factors:
  • age
  • education
  • work experience
  • whether you have a valid job offer
  • English and/or French language skills
  • adaptability
Proof of Funds Requirement To qualify for immigrating to Canadaas skilled worker through Federal Skilled Worker Program, you must meet the settlement funds criteria. You must have enough proof of funds to demonstrate that you can financially support yourself and your accompanying family members (if any), once you enter Canada. The settlement funds amount you need depends on your family size and to calculate it, you must include

  • your spouse or common-law partner
  • yourdependent children
  • your spouses or common-law partners dependent children
