Being a land of opportunities, Canada welcomes hundreds and thousands of new immigrants every year. Those applicants go through the below mentioned step-by-step procedure to apply for Canadian PR.
Step 1: Check your eligibility
Eligibility requirements for Canada PR visa include:
- You must age 18 years or above
- Must obtain a minimum CRS score of 65 points
- Must have a minimum 1-year job experience letter
- Must score minimum CLB level in language proficiency tests like IELTS, TEF, etc.
- Must have enough funds to support yours and your family’s stay in Canada
Step 2: Gather relevant documents
You need to gather the following documents:
- Identity Proof
- Work Experience Letter
- Valid Passport
- Educational Qualification Documents
- Your recent photographs
- Job offer letter from any Canadian Employer
Step 3: Create an Express Entry profile online
Once you qualify the eligibility criteria, then you have to submit your online application on the portal of IRCC; while, in the case of PNP, you can directly submit your Expression of Interest to the respective province of Canada.
You have to provide information related to your age, language proficiency, education, experience, etc.
Step 4: Get an ITA (Invitation to Apply)
Since it’s a point-based system, IRCC assesses your profile on the above-mentioned factors, including your age, work experience, education, language proficiency, etc. Once you submit your application, IRCC evaluates it and those candidates who have high scores will get an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian PR. If you receive an ITA, then you are required to submit your completed application within 90 days.
Step 5: Wait for your PR confirmation
Once you have submitted a complete application, then the Immigration officers will review your application and if approved, then you will get a confirmation and you have to get ready to fly to Canada.
